Dr. Pollock enjoys spending time with his patients and strives to ensure that they are well educated and thoroughly prepared for any procedure they undergo. Dr. Pollock performs all major cosmetic procedures including breast augmentation, face lifts, and liposuction. Both doctors are well known in their field for pioneering the No Drain tummy tuck procedure which allows patients to recover much quicker and easier than with drains. Silicone implants tend to have a longer lifespan. A disadvantage is that implant failure is typically only detectable through high-resolution ultrasound or MRI. The FDA recommends routine imaging of the implant for patients with silicone breast implants.
MRI
Implant Deflation or Rupture: It is important to know that all implants will eventually fail and need to be replaced. When a saline implant fails, the saline (saltwater) leaks out and is absorbed by your body. This is usually very obvious. Slow leaks are possible but much less common. Silicone implant failure is not obvious, as the silicone stays in the scar pocket and there are no physical signs. Silicone implants require ongoing surveillance using high-resolution ultrasound or MRI. Mammograms may detect a failure but are unreliable. Silicone implants typically last longer than saline.
Radiology
We may need to give your information to other facilities, including but not limited to radiology, labs, medical specialists, and insurance companies to process claims.Â

While there are shortcuts to becoming a plastic surgeon, Dr. Pollock knew that to fulfill his goals of being the best possible plastic surgeon, he first needed the extensive experience, technical skills, and clinical judgement that comes by completing a general surgery residency. So, after receiving his medical degree, he sought out and was accepted into one of the most rigorous and highly regarded surgical training programs in the country at the University of Texas, Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital. He completed the five-year program and earned board certification by the American Board of Surgery (ABS).

Brow Lift
A brow lift typically offers long-standing results. Ultimately, every patient is different, and the length of their results can vary based on genetics, the natural aging process, skincare, lifestyle, and more. Breast Augmentation
Some women who have had a breast augmentation may, at some point, consider exchanging their implants or even having them removed all together. The reasons vary from individual to individual and range from personal choice to medical need.
Breast Reduction
Breast reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, is the procedure for women which reduces the amount of breast tissue. Women who choose to have breast reduction surgery generally have very large breasts that cause them discomfort. For some, the discomfort is physical: back or neck ache, skin irritation, shoulder pain from the pressure of bra straps, etc. Very large breasts may keep some women from doing the activities they enjoy, such as engaging in athletics. For others, the discomfort is emotional. They may feel uncomfortable due to the appearance of their breasts which are large for their frame. Any of these are valid reasons to consider the surgery.
Breast Lift
When a significant degree of sagging is present, Dr. Pollock recommends a breast lift (mastopexy) to properly treat breast ptosis. Breast lift surgery is a popular procedure designed to return the breast tissues to their proper position above the inframammary fold. A breast lift can also address breast size by removing some tissue to decrease size or adding an implant to increase size or replace lost volume. Those women who wish to increase the size of their breasts may add an implant. However, increasing size should be somewhat conservative as the increased weight of the implant can stretch the weak tissue.
Rhinoplasty
Surgery to reshape the nose, or rhinoplasty, is one of the most common cosmetic facial procedures performed in the United States. While the general technique is somewhat standard in principle, there are many significant differences in rhinoplasty techniques used by individual surgeons.
Breast Reconstruction
Our goals, tastes and life situations change over the course of one’s life and a decision made when you had your breast implants placed may be quite different years later. Some women may want to change their size, switch to a different fill material or simply remove their breast implants. Changing breast implants may be related to changes in one’s breasts that occur with having children or simply with age. The loss of support, loss of volume or thinning of breast tissue may require a different size or type of breast implant to achieve the best look and feel of one’s breasts. Some women may develop a problem, such as capsular contracture (hardening of the breast) or implant rupture. Finally, some may develop a medical condition such as breast cancer (which can lead to breast reconstruction surgery) or concern for breast implant illness and get medical advice that it may be best to have their implants.

Chemical Peels
When elasticity is decreased in the skin, we begin to see wrinkles with animation, like smiling or frowning. These are called dynamic wrinkles because they appear only when we animate. As those lines begin to remain without animating, they are known as static wrinkles. Dynamic lines are treated by weakening the muscles that cause them using a product like BOTOXÂ® that temporarily stops the nerves from sending signals to the muscles and stopping or weakening that motion. They can also be treated using skin care regimens that improve the skin health. Static lines are treated with a skin resurfacing procedure like laser or chemical peels. Fillers can also give temporary improvement. Skin wrinkles may be softened by facial tightening, as in a facelift, but not necessarily eliminated.
