Bognet Medical Associates

I went to this Doctor after reading online reviews and not having a family Dr. in the area. Dr. Bognet is extremely frenetic and unprofessional. In my first appointment, one of his nurses? (not even sure if she was an actual nurse or an assistant) warned me repeatedly which raised some red flags however I was in desperate need of a wellness screening and feeling so depressed and hopeless. He swept in and left several times throughout my appointment to change the temperature and get the right "airflow" which was extremely disruptive. The girl taking notes actually had to go and find him because he was gone for so long and we didn't know where he went. He rifled off questions as if I was on the receiving end of a firing squadron. His tone was extremely unpleasant and cold. On my second appointment, 10 days later, he asked the same questions, did not even remember the medication he had prescribed to me which wasn't actually medication (or the sense to check the chart?) He also was pushing a folic acid "medical food" for my depression. His recommendation was to continue taking the SSRI (I was prescribed prior to seeing him) that was making me feel absolutely awful. (not to mention a 15 lbs weight gain in 10 days) Never once did he even ask if I was feeling like I wanted to hurt myself or even how I'm functioning. Instead...I got a 20 minute commercial for the folic acid supplement deplin. I had a clear sinus infection on my second visit that he noticed by the sound of my voice and while checking my throat/nose but he did not prescribe me an antibiotic or any treatment plan for that matter. He made it a point to mention I would be purchasing the deplin from a representative that deals directly with his patient and it is purchased on a renewal system for two years! I could have purchased it on amazon.com along with the vitamin D3 supplements he wanted me to purchase through his office as well. Way to take advantage of someone who is in desperate need to feel better and not thinking clearly! I am wondering how he has any patients at all and who wrote the positive reviews he received on the web!? What really frightens and concerns me is the fact that some people do not seek out second opinions and would take his advice as the end all be all...only to end up suffering. Beware!
