I go in there all the time the food is very taste the service has been great even when we went late at night the service was great and the food was good. My husband and I go in and share a meal and they never mess it up.

Went in for lunch and ordered a beef burrito with rice and beans off of the lunch menu. When I ordered I had the menu open to the lunch menu and pointed to it. When the bill came I was charged for 3 different items instead of 1. I tried to discuss it politely with the man at the cash register and he said even though I pointed to it on the menu and stated the exact description of a burrito with rice and beans, because I didn't include #2 (the combo #) from the menu that they charged me from the ala carte menu (which I hadn't even looked at on the menu!). He was very rude and not willing to budge. He stated that I should know what I order! They overcharged me $1.50 which isn't much, but I just wonder how many other people they have done this to. I told him that I wouldn't be back and he said "Good!" In a way I got my $1.50 because I didn't leave a tip after this happened. If you're in Altoona and want Mexican food I would recommend driving into Pleasant Hill to eat at El Azteca. Great food and service!! Don't waste your time at Monterrey, because the food isn't that great anyway.
