Worst Auto Service Ever!

Absolutely the WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD!!
While getting a full service oil change, my oil filter seal was installed incorrectly causing my oil to slowly leak out (unknown to me). A month later after hearing rattling from my engine I took it to get examined from another place and found out that LOF had installed it improperly. I had metal fragments in my engine from lack of oil (a result of LOFs incompetence) and had to spend $1200 to get it replaced and will possibly have to replace MY ENTIRE ENGINE!
LOF reimbursed me for the initial visit I had to investigate the damage but STILL REFUSES to pay for the $1200 it cost to repair the internal parts of the engine.
I'm definitely never going there again but I will spend the rest of forever telling people of how terrible my experience there was and how horrible there customer service is.

I went to get a "quick oil change" at LOF-Xpress and my car engine, which was working perfectly well before I brought it there, seized not more than 10 feet out of their driveway (01/10/16). This was AFTER under-filling my engine by THREE quarts the previous day and causing my engine to smoke, which should've been my first and final trip to this establishment (01/09/16).

At first, the manager that was onsite admitted that they were completely at fault, and assured me that they would cover the damages. However, when the second manager came (the owner's son), he immediately refuted any accountability for the mishap before the situation could even be evaluated.

I had the car towed to the Land Rover dealership to be repaired. So far I have spent an estimated $15,000.00 (not covered by insurance), w/o a dollar offered by LOF-Xpress. I am a veterinary student that has relocated here from New York City. I am very blessed to be able to afford the repairs thus far, unlike most students.

Xander, As we have now communicated with you over and over again, we have fully explained and proven via ACTUAL VIDEO TAPES that ALL of the oil change service we performed on your vehicle (including all of our parts and labor) was done CORRECTLY and in 100% compliance w/ your vehicle’s manufacturer’s specifications. We PROPERLY filled your engine with the CORRECT 8.0 quarts of oil (again, proven via actual video tapes). The internal engine problem you experienced is solely due to pre-existing conditions with your recently purchased used vehicle from a New Jersey used car lot. You chose NOT to buy their offered Extended Warranty, and now you need to go back to THEM for recourse of this pre-existing matter. You continue to deny the FACTS and DOCUMENTATION we have repeatedly shared w/ you. And instead, you have further pursued this matter w/ both the BBB and the IA Attorney General, of which we have been fully exonerated by both parties. Even the Land Rover dealership was NOT able to produce any of the requested engineering documentation that would show that our oil change caused the internal damage to your engine. Your totally FALLACIOUS and SLANDEROUS statements astound us, but again, we have full documentation of everything we did, including actual video tapes, proving that we performed your oil change 100% CORRECLY. Although we would wish you differently, your future does not bode well if your falsities and deceit continue. Please come to grips with the facts of the matter and pursue the proper recourse – that being the New Jersey used car lot where you bought this [faulty] used vehicle. Thank you, Owner

Overall

Do your research before you go in. I was talked into a transmission fluid change much too soon. I should have educated myself on it before I allowed it. I then confirmed with the dealer it was much too soon and they refused to refund my money.

Kevin, We only recommend fluid services based on your vehicle's manufacturer's service intervals per mileage. We shared those with you both verbally and in writing when we performed a formal Service Review w/ you out in our service bays next to your vehicle. This data comes specifically from our POS computers system that automatically gets updated information from your particular vehicle's manufacturer submitted data.
