        Jim and Debbie Chesbrough started Wood Wise Construction back in 1978. While we have been a fully licensed and insured General Contractor since 1984, we have been focusing on "Universal Design" or renovations for "Barrier Free" living spaces since 1994. Due to our dedication to making homes accessible, we recently opened the Seacoast's only showroom dedicated to Accessibility in 2010: Accessible Solutions and changed our DBA name accordingly. Watching several members of our own family cope with disabling life changes gave us the impetus to focus our work and expertise knowing we are helping improve the quality of life for others.Our greatest satisfaction has come from focusing on making life easier for:Seniors who are determined to live safely and independently in their own home.Folks who are coping with a disability and are seeking to regain their independence by being able to perform their daily activities with greater ease and safetyBaby boomers that are planning ahead so that they can stay in their own home as they safely "age in place".Caregivers who are caring for an aged parent or other family member coping with a disability or catastrophic illnessThose of us who are grown children worried about their aged parents living alone at home.Accessible Solutions is a family owned business with over 30 years of construction experience.
