Imperial Stone

TERRIBLE! Nice guys at first, but completely unaccountable for their mistakes, which cost me and my family a lot of money and frustration. Please do your homework when choosing your fabricator

Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with this business. We paid over $3300 for granite and installation of our stone that had over 40 divots in it that were concealed by some sort of black putty. Some of the holes were as large as a quarter. We called them within 24 hours of noticing the holes and they came out but could not fix. They called in another worker/"expert" who couldn't fix either. Their own installers said it was unacceptable and there was no permanet fix. The owner/store manager didn't want to give us any money back or replace the broken counter and said they googled a product on the internet that they could "test" out on our countertop but it would not be permanent. We said that was unacceptable because we didn't pay full price for a broken counter. The owner tried to say the holes were "natural" but he never came to our house to look, and his own installers said there was nothing natural about it. I don't know if they damaged it our the granite supplier damaged it upon transporation, but they should of inspected it before they paid the supplier for it and not try to cover up their mistake and pass it along to the consumer. We asked for them to replace the broken slab since they couldn't fix it, but they said we would need to buy another slab of granite. I wasn't willing to give them more money when they gave us a defective product in the first place. Now we are out all that money and have a counter that looks awful! The owner would never call us back when we contacted them and when he finally did (once) he had the nerve to say that we knew about the broken countertop. That doesn't even make sense that we would pay full price for something we knew was obviously very damaged. This company was similar in price to many other companies we quoted but could get us in faster.... looking back I would of waited a few more weeks and gone without a counter rather than being stuck with this one. Heartbreaking, when we were so excited about our new kitchen! Even more devastating, when the business says it is the consumer's fault :( I feel like a sucker.
