Joint Replacement
ASMOC is an internationally recognized leading center of Cartilage Repair/Restoration. Dr. Gillogly is one of the early pioneers in autologous chondrocyte implantation, a procedure designed to grow healthy joint surfaces following injury and thus prevent the onset of arthritis. He trained in Sweden with Dr. Lars Peterson. Diffuse cartilage wear often leads to total/partial joint replacement. With focal cartilage defects, options are available, such as microfracture, osteochondral autograft transplantation, allograft transplantation, autologous chondrocyte implantation, and biologic cartilage substitutes. Orthopedic Surgery
Hip Arthroscopy is a rapidly evolving field in sports medicine providing reproducible pain relief and functional return to sport/activity with the long term goal of hip health preservation and restoration of normal anatomy. Recognized by his peers as an expert, Dr. Phillip Langer is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He completed an Arthroscopy Association of North America Fellowship in arthroscopic hip surgery and is repeatedly chosen to lecture on and teach hip arthroscopy to other surgeons on a national level.

Dr. Gillogly is sub-specialty trained in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery, with an emphasis in the treatment and surgery of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle, having completed a Fellowship under the direction of James R. Andrews, M.D. at Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, Birmingham, Alabama in 1988. While Chief of Sports Medicine and Director of Orthopaedic Research at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, Denver, Colorado from 1988 through 1992, Dr. Gillogly authored numerous lectures, exhibits and publications on a wide range of Sports Medicine topics to include aspects of knee ligament reconstructive surgery, shoulder and elbow arthroscopy, and overuse syndromes in athletes.
