Davis Recycling Company

I had a ton of odd stuff that I needed to recycle after cleaning out my mom's house and garage and found Davis Recycling in the yellow pages. I had no idea what to expect as this was a first for me. I called around and found the folks at Davis Recycling to be friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. They unloaded my stuff quickly and evaluated everything so that I got the best price for all the different stuff I had. I was very happy with the people that helped me and the money I got for what I almost threw away. It was easy and I would recommend them.

Under-classification. Beginner sellers beware. Went in to drop off a carload of metal. I'm a novice and this was my first time visiting the location. Had a combination of steel, aluminum and a little copper. Couldn't initially read the messy receipt writing from the guy weighing and classifying the metal. Had over 150 pounds of metal. He classified it all as steel and I got .10 per pound. When I questioned the tare weight of the cart, his attitude changed to short, impatient. Ironically there weren't any empty carts to weigh and he reassured me the company wasn't in the business of ripping people off. Didn't want to drive around with stuff in plain view in my car so I left it. Later, after deciphering the writing, I realized I had in fact been ripped off by the under-classification of the metal.
