Ultrasound
Second, Dr. Jones uses of both the traditional, or closed, wound and the less common open wound liposuction to accurately remove all the undesired fatty tissue. Atlanta Tummy Tuck expert Dr. Jones complements the two types of liposuction with solid probe ultrasound/laser. The closed wound liposuction is where the surgeon sucks out the fatty tissue from under the skin with a thin tube. The open wound liposuction is where the surgeon makes an incision to open the area to be able to see where the fatty tissue has accumulated and then proceeds to shape the area. Dr. Jones takes advantage of both methods, allowing for more accurate removal of the unwanted fat tissue. Once he completes the closed liposuction and the solid probe ultrasound to remove the bulk of the unwanted fat, Dr. Jones employs open liposuction to directly and individually thin and sculpture the fatty layers. Open liposuction also allows for greater control and retention of blood vessels (less bleeding) and the lymphatic system (less seroma).

Twelve years of surgical training followed; two years were spent in general surgery with the first at the Medical University Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, and the second in Baltimore, Maryland. Four years of rigorous training followed at the world-famous John Hopkins Hospital specializing in facial surgery. At Hopkins, the emphasis was on the face, the head and neck, nasal anatomy, the sinuses, ear surgery, and neck structures. Botox

He assigns the credit to what he has coined the “Stanford stitching and the Paris trick”. Stanford stitching is a special way to close the incision so that the width of the scar is minimized. He picked it up while he was a resident at Stanford University. In Paris, he learned a trick that allows him to remove the stitches easily and painlessly, leaving the healed wound unaffected.

Face Lift

Abdominoplasty
The lipo-abdominoplasty procedure can take up to four hours to perform. In most cases, patients can return home the same day. Drains are used to remove fluid from underneath any skin flaps. Dr. Jones will also use a compression garment and abdominal binder to aid in recovery. The binder is worn for several months after surgery and Dr. Jones will make recommendations related to activity levels during the recovery period.

Microdermabrasion
