Normally one worker music playing service ok I was denied by Jade to use the restroom.. ask to trim my hair for free and MORE THAN 4 inches of my hair was cut off considering it a CUT! Once, I called the
before walking in on a regular basic and was told to come in to get turned around because of "appointment only". Better off reviews advice. Customers expect quality service when it comes to spending !!!!!!! N E V E R A G A I N !

My overall experience was pleasant, but b/c I regularly go to Dominican hair salons I expected a certain standard. My hair was not as straight as I liked it...and when I woke up the next morning my hair looked exactly like it would have had I done it myself, hence me going to a Salon b/c my hair is never super bone straight when I do it. However my hair had a lot of body and smelled good.

You have to try this place for yourself! u have to try the Hair BOTOX. I'm in love with my hair and have gotten complaints for the past 2 days.

My hair is natural and looks amazing. My hair was washed then protein- Mia called hair BOTOX applied. I was put under the dryer for about 30 minutes. She then washed it out and have me the option to be roller set or blown out straight. I chose to be blown out. My hair came out bouncy and smooth as she said. It was hot yesterday and it's hot today! My hair still looks great. She trims your ends with the price of the BOTOX. It was the same amount of time as a blowout....just add 30 minutes for the super deep condition treatment. Mia stated that it will wash out in 8-10 weeks. I wear my hair in natural styles at times and I was able to see I still had my curl pattern...it was just more defined. When you talk to the stylist she is very knowledgeable about the different hair treatments. The place was clean and I was in and out. I like that the salon updates pictures daily on the internet do you understand what to expect. I really appreciate her approach to helping me with my natural hair and what products to use. When I first started going to this salon to get my natural hair straightened there we no problems, I enjoyed the experience of walking in, signing my name and getting my hair done with beautiful results. How ever I started to see some heat damage and decided my hair needed a break. I got braids and didn't go back for 4 months. Once I took my braids out, I decided I wanted straight hair again. So I dangled and deep conditioned the night before my Sunday appointment. When I arrived for my appointment. I was told that I would be charged an extra $10 "detangling fee" when my hair wasn't tangled just natural and I was also told that price overall price increases $10 because it's a Sunday. Before I never had to deal with a price increase just because it was Sunday. So I walked out. After three more months I decided I would give this salon one last chance since I really enjoy the convenience. I called today and asked what time they would close or accept the last client. I was told that the last client would be accepted between 4 and 4:30 (keep in mind they don't close until 5pm) and after that time they would go over to Asha's on Thornton Road. I told the lady that I would be coming today. I came all the way from downtown to cascade and arrived at 3:45pm. When I walked up to the door there was no one in the shop. Of course I was pissed off because I wasted my time and gas to get here well before "closing time". I can honestly say I will NEVER come to this salon or any of the salons owned by the owner because of all the problems with them being in the salon or charging extra fees. Getting my hair done is supposed to be a relaxing experience but not at this place!

Overall
NYC Fabulousness in Atlanta!

I love this place! This is truly an authentic Dominican salon.  I went to Atlanta to visit a friend and thanks to the late summer humidity my hair was a mess.  My friend has been patronizing Mia's for a few months and recommended I go there for a wash and set.  I was a bit skeptical because being from NYC I am used to getting the best in terms of hair care - but I was more than pleasantly surprised.  Whatever products they use left my hair silky, soft and shiny.  I can't believe I'm saying this, but my hair has never come out this well in any of the Dominican salons that I've gone to in New York.  The salon was clean and spacious - and the stylists were warm and professional.  I actually wish I lived in Atlanta so I could patronize Mia's NYC Dominican salon regularly!!!!
