Dear Spirit of an Awesome God, I repent that it took over 14 years for me to give Honor where Honor is Due. Back in 1999 two kittens were brought to my home by Edward. Lewis Jr after the kittens mother was ran over by a car. Ed told me that the owner of the kittens was out of town and could I keep the kittens until she returned. I had never been to Red Oak Animal Hospital but since it was located on the side of town in which I lived I took the two kittens there for a check up on how to care for them. My God, Dr. Tolbert thet Vet showed me how to care for the kittens and then he done the unexpected: Dr. Tolbert told me since the kittens were not mine and I was kind is enough to care for them to the point of making a debt for myself then he was not going to charge me for the visit. Lord God, I repent that it has taken me 14 years to Tell The World What An Amazing Man Dr. Tolbert was then and Now! Spirit of God, Guide this testimony to Bless Dr. Tolbert of Red Oak Animal Hospital in a Great Great Way. Peace and Amen

I brought my dog "Kobe" in to be groomed and I was more than pleased with the service we received. The staff was really friendly and professional from start to finish. I'll admit that I was nervous in the beginning because I have a min. Schnauzer and I know that may not be the easiest breed to cut, but I was impressed and very satisfied with his grooming!! Kobe and I will definitely be returning. ~ Love & Light~~

The doctor and his staff are great. My dog needed surgery several months ago and I was a nervous wreck. Dr. Tolbert took the time to ease my fears by patiently explaining the surgery and answering my questions. The surgery went well and there were no complications. My dog is my best friend (I don't have kids) and I am truly grateful that I have a vet that I can trust.

Red Oak has been by far, the BEST Animal Clinic that I've ever been to. Dr. Tolbert and his staff are extremely professional. His passion, love and concern for his patients is very evident from the moment you meet him. Beyond his patients, he treats each Mommy & Daddy (the humans) with great respect and compassion. The facilities are nicely appointed but still give a home-like feel. My two dogs are not afraid to visit the clinic. They actually like going to see the Dr. and the staff! I can't see us going anywhere else! If you're looking for a down-to-earth, warm and caring environment, then I highly recommend using Red Oak for all your veterinary needs!

The wonderful doctor at Red Oak Animal Hospital and his great staff save our beloved Diesel. Diesel was quite ill, he could barely stand and was loosing fluids. The Doctor, examined him and x-rayed him but could not find the problem. He gave me the bad news that Diesel would need to be put down. I did all the necessary paperwork to give him the go ahead to put my "D: down. I received a phone call about two days later, the Doctor said "do you want to save your dog"? I was stunned because I knew he had been put down. He explained to me that he did another set of x-rays and found that he had swallowed a corn on the cob and it lodged in an unusal place in his intestines which made it hard to be seen, Due to Dr. Tolbert's persistence, our dog Diesel is alive today.
Forever grateful,
Theresa Wilkins

My family and I were traveling home to from south Georgia with our 3 K-9 children when the youngest, our little Pippa, seemed to start choking. This continued off and on for a few miles at which time we decided we could not wait until we got back home (40 miles north of Atlanta) to have her evaluated. So...I googled on my phone for a nearby Animal Hospital. While several hospitals resulted in the search, I chose Red Oak Animal Hospital. We arrived there about 10 minutes after my google search. As I walked through the front door I was greeted by a kind gentleman who turned out to be Dr. Ronald Tolbert. I explained our situation at which time he took little Pippa and quickly began evaluating her. He was so kind, gentle and loving to her - I knew she was in good hands. I was very relieved! He thoroughly examined and treated her and found nothing to be concerned about - only mucas in her throat. He even suggested we hang around for a few minutes to see if she had any more problems. She didn't have any more choking episodes, only coughing so he decided to give her an injection to help her with the coughing. She hasn't had any more problems since - thank God! I would highly recommend Dr. Tolbert and Red Oak Animal Hospital to anyone living ,or traveling in and around the College Park area.
One more thing.... I know that what I'm about to tell you won't happen everyday because he couldn't stay in business if it did, but I was absolutely and completely caught off-guard by this man's kindness. I had asked for him to please write down what he had given my little girl and he told me would print it out for me so that I could give it to her doctor. As I pulled out my wallet to pay him he handed me an invoice that had the meds he had given her on it ,but to my surprise it had a zero balance. I tried to pay him but he said something about "a coke and a smile" and just told us to do something nice for someone else. Folks, this is unheard of in the greedy world that we live in today, but this actually happened! And then, about a month later I just had to send him a thank you note. To my surprise again, a week or so later I received a full, one page "hand written" letter from Dr. Tolbert just telling me how my kind words reminded him of why he became a veterinarian. Thank you again Dr. Tolbert....you are one of a kind!

I have been a client of Red Oak Animal Hospital for 20 Years. The reason I keep going back is that the service is wonderful. Dr. Tolbert has so much patience. He takes time to show you how to handle your dog properly. He makes sure you are keeping up with routine visits, taking heartworm and flea treatments. Most importantly that you are caring for your dog with love. He takes time to explain all medical conditions as well as behavior situations. He responses quickly to emergencys. He truly loves animals. Over the years I have chatted with many of his other clients and the feelings we have for Dr. Tolbert are mutual. He and his staff are family to my dog and I.
