Lucys Mom On Main

I have eaten at Mom's a few times over the span of 7 years since moving to Aubrey. I always forget why I don't eat there often. I was looking forward to some good home cooked food and was thourly disappointed.



I ordered the hot ham and cheese sandwich (priced at almost 10 dollars) with a cup of tomato basil soup. My husband ordered the burger and my daughter and her friend the chicken strips.



My sandwich came out on a hotdog bun. Nothing home cooked or special about it. It wasn't even diner quality. I could have made a better sandwich at home for free. The soup was even disappointing. It was thick like chili and tasted more like roasted peppers.



My husband said the burger was normal. Nothing special. In fact he can get a similar one anywhere else for half the price.



My daughter didn't even like her chicken strips... Which is crazy being that she loves chicken strips from anywhere. Her fries were even burnt.



In all we spent almost 50.00 for a less than mediocre meal. I don't recommend Moms at all. You could eat at Denys for a better experience, and that's saying a lot!

We eat here at least once a week. Located in one of the old buildings on Main Street, this restaurant is full of nostalgia, not just in the decor but on the menu. Good home cookin' and very generous portions. And, the owners always make you feel welcome.
