I was looking for a Heat Pump to replace my old equipment. After talking with several contractors, I chose Longacre's Co. in Bally. They were great from start to finish. Knowledgable and friendly staff. Installers, Ken and Mike were very professional, experienced and friendly. The installation is a picture-perfect job, I couldn't be happier. I'm a retired HVAC technician myself. I know good work when I see it. I feel confident that Longacre's will keep me cozy for a long time. Thanks!

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the kitchen cabinet make-over Longacre recently completed for us. This is the fourth time we have utilized their services. Their workmanship and attention to detail is exemplary, and the finished product is always beautiful, and a source of lasting enjoyment for many years to come. Their craftsman are professional & pleasant, and leave the work area in pristine condition upon completion of the job. We highly recommend their services.

I am very angry at this point about The Longacre Company's heating department. This company is expecting me to pay a big price to train their technician! We were asked to pay $770 for fixing a problem as simple as the cracked insulation over electrode

Here is the story. In Nov and Dec last year, they came to my house 4 times. 1st they did an annual oil furnace tuneup/cleaning ($159 paid), then days later (warmer days didn’t turn on heat), heat was not on, the first tech came, changed the TRANSFORMER, (we paid $133.34); after that we had a couple of warmer days and the heat didn't come on. 5 days later, when I tried to turn heat on, furnace didn't come on, we called and the same tech came again, and this time he changed the OIL PUMP and nozzle, still couldn't make it run, then he thought it's a problem with the ELECTRODE KIT (he spent 2 hours this time). He ordered the kit, and we waited almost 10 days to get them to come to the house again. This time, is a different tech. Once he opened the furnace and realized the part ordered was wrong and he knew right way what's wrong - cracked isolation over electrode. He went back office and picked up the part, came back and changed it. The furnace is up running ever since.

But a month later, I received a bill asking me to pay $477.42, that's on top of what I already paid $292.34 ($159 + $133.42). For a simple fix - change the part (electrode kit - only cost $25), The Longacre Company is charging me a total of $769.76 - unbelievable.

Tried talk to the man in charge a couple of times, the final result came back from his boss (company owner) is they can only give $112 discount on Labor. I was asking the owner's contact information, but he refused give it to me.

The point here is, this company is trying to get its customers to pay for training their technicians (because they are not knowledgeable enough) and paying to change parts that were still good and any associated labor for changing good parts.

Don't use this company. You may be the next one to pay a big bill.

Wanted to let everyone know that the service i had provided through The Longacre Company today at my home was the best!! The service tech, Frank was very efficient, courteous, helpful, informative and thorough. My problem was solved quickly and efficiently. He cleaned up nicely after doing a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier with the service. Also provided me some additional information for services I may be considering in the near future. Extremely fast & very professional service! Our central AC stopped working mid-afternoon on a very hot day in July. At about 4 pm, I called The Longacre Company to see if they could come out. A technician was at my house within 45 minutes of my call, and the AC was running again by 5:15. Amazing Service!

Great help and installation of...

Great help and installation of our new air conditioner. We could have gone elsewhere for a little less money, but wanted the quality services. We expressed our interest in future projects with them. However, after the first cheap plastic part broke on the AC they gave us only excuses as to why they could not service us under the warranty. So, for a $30 part they lost all of our future business. We were looking for a company that would take care of us, not leave us high & dry, what a shame. We expected better service for the extra money, we did not get that.
