Jimmy John's

We love the food! I'm addicted to the #7 - ham & cheese w/veggies and my brother and mother love the gargantuan -- tons of meat! The prices just went up a little so it's more expensive than Subway, but you can taste the quality! However, if you have a hard time eating not so crazy-soft food, you might not be able to enjoy their bread. It's freshly baked but a little chewy.



I didn't give it the full five stars on two points:

1. They don't deliver where I live, which is on the wrong side of Columbia, apparently.

2. They discontinued their frequent buyer card. Granted, you didn't get extra stamps if you got non-minimal sandwiches like the #7 or the gargantuan, and when the card got filled you could only get a minimal sandwich (you got charged extra if you upgraded the sandwich), but a little bit goes a long way. Phasing out this promotion was deeply disappointing.

JJ's has always been one of my favorite sandwich shops. Their #6 sandwich, a veggie sandwich, is one of the best. They bake their bread every day so it's always awesome. When they make they sandwiches they pull out some of the bread from the inside to make room for the sandwich fixings. My girls always ask for this part because they like it so much.

When JJ's located here the advertising was aggressive. I live in the sticks and nothing is delivered here. I stopped in. Trust me...,go to Subway! The bread was hard (could not bite it with my teeth), the over abundant lettuce was brown and slimy and the over all ham and cheese sandwich was terrible. I will no doubt go anywhere for a sub except JJ's. You want fast delivery and crappy food..Jimmy John's is the one for you.. You want a GOOD sub...step out a little and visit Subway!
