If you need someone to hold your hand and stroke your ego, this is not the place for you. I love it. Everything a person needs to get stronger, faster, and in shape without the homogenized fluff. Members there are heads down, hardworking, and are not there to socialize. Definitely not the place for everyone, but I Love it and it exceeds my needs.

Spent a few months here and opted to leave with a very bad taste in my mouth. My biggest problem with the place is the management and their arrogant demeanor toward clients. The equipment i use daily kept breaking and not only did they not fix it but they responded rudely when it was brought to their attention. The gym is mediocre and the customer service is non existant. Irronically it is the employees that appologized and tried to pass on my discontent and that of a few others, the owners were just condecending and unwelcoming. Will take my money elsewhere

A true NO-FRILLS gym (think polar opposite of day-glo LA Fitness/24 Hour Fitness/et al) with very reasonable monthly rates and wide M-F hours (weekend hours are more narrow), but not welcoming to the general public. If you are a hardcore body builder or wanna-be body builder then this is the place for you; atmosphere & equipment are above par. If you are just looking to be fit, healthy & happy, then look elsewhere cause YOU will not be welcome here! Owner & some (not all) of his staff are very discriminating against age, fitness level, and personal goals – if your goal doesn’t match their goals then “you’re not really committed!” No positive encouragement, just drill-sergeant degradation. Owner is odd, self-admitted “a**hole of the industry” (his words, not mine) who is not as well-versed in training/fitness/diets as he claims to be. Typical small-business, desperate for business, but unkind and disrespectful vibe to patrons just kills it all. Keep shopping!

Metroflex is truly a hardcore training facility! Not only for powerlifting an bodybuilders but also for cross training and any other type of training!

Metro flex is a hardcore gym one of the best I been to great attitude and one of the best in the area. David Hampton is a great person and a great leaderone of the best in the industry's. All these of negative reviews r BS. Metro flex is a hardcore gym some people can't handle that. There a good saying "go hard or go home".

I have been a member of this gym for almost 2 years and in that time I have achieved better results than ever before! Granted, this gym is HARDCORE and is NOT for everyone, but if you are serious about your workout this is the place to be. However, if you are the easily offended type just looking for another social venue try LA fitness or one of the other national chains.

I trained with David he's racist, sexist, and a disgusting person. I got sick of hearing him talk about his wife and the steroids he uses so I left
