A native of New Jersey, Dr. Chan completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and graduated Summa Cum Laude and valedictorian from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his post-graduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded the F. William Bora, M.D. Award for Excellence in Upper Extremity Surgery. He completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery and Microsurgery under the direction of David P. Green, M.D., a world authority on surgery of the hand.
