Established in 1914, Belmont Community Hospital is a 99-bed acute care hospital. Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire became an affiliate of Wheeling Hospital in 1996. It offers primary care and selected specialty services. Additional services are now available at its outpatient centers located in Powhatan Point, Shadyside, Bellaire and St. Clairsville. The hospital operates a 24-hour emergency department, and has three surgical suites.The hospital also has a complete array of diagnostic testing and treatment services for inpatients and outpatients. These services include pathology and radiology, CT scanning, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, ultrasound and echocardiograms.
