Mamma Lucrezias Italian Restaurant

I recently just moved to bellefonte from delaware, both of my children love pizza! So i was searching for a new pizza place for the kids and I to try when i came across Mamma Lucrezia's Pizzeria. When i called in i was met with a young lady's voice who was very rude and rushed like she wasn't at work more like she was annoyed by me placin an order. I blew it off figuring maybe the girl was having a bad day. I ordered a large cheese pizza and 2 cheese steaks. On my cheesesteaks i made very clear alls i wanted on them was meat and cheese. i must have made this clear atleast 3 times. the young lady on the phone was so distracted with whatever she was doing giggling and talking in the background to whom ever i asked her to repeat my order to insure it was correct. when she repeated my order of course it was wrong, she finally got it correct on the third try. The wait for my food wasn't long at all, a man delivered my food and was very nice! When i opened my pizza i saw that it was almosy completely folded in half and almost all of my cheese was gone on one side and the other side was cover in sauce everywhere. So my kids arn't pickey eaters they don't care what the food looks like pizza is pizza! i opened my chesesteak to find barely any cheese or meat and a whole bunch of letuce and tomatoes which i was certain i had said just meat and cheese on my steak due to the fact i am allergic to tomatoes! Thank god i had looked at my sandwhich before i took a bite or who knows what would have happend. Being extremely hungry i got on th phone and called the restaurant back and explained the accient. i wasn't really upset or mad i just explained to them maybe there was a mix up or someone accidentally put lettuce and tomatoes on my steak. The young girl was the one to take my phone call again the second time. when i explained what was up she cocked an attitude right away and automatically started screaming and yelling that she knows her job and that shes been working there or 5 years and that i could either return all of my order, which my kids had already eaten half of the pizza or return nothing and just deal with it. I tried to reson wih her that alls i wanted was another cheesesteak with just meat and cheese and everything would be peachy. After a whole mouthful of cusses towards myself she said she was not going to waste the cheesesteaks that i could bring the untouched cheesesteaks up to her myself and if she thought she could resell them i could have my money back. So furious at this point i packed my kids into the car trudged into her restaurant in the snow showed her manager a picture of the folded pizza and had the cheesesteaks ripped out of my hand with a bunch of profanitys being yelled out to me and my children. After all of this she wouldn't even give me the full amount of money for the cheesesteaks. The manager i asked to speak with was just as rude as the waitress!! So beware of what you order from this place if they are rewraping and handing out food that was other people's order first. who know's what or who could have touched your food!!!! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

We orderd from them tonight after searching the web to find another delivery place othere then Home Delivery Pizza.

We were met with a happy polite person to take our order and were excited to find out that they deliver. We order two specific cheesesteaks and a pizza for the kids. When we ordered the cheesteaks we told them exactly what we wanted on them we repeated and confirmed it. We were happy for things to go easy and that they delivered.



About an hour later our food arrived. I was asked if I was paying cash and I acknowledged I was paying cash. Well the driver didnt have change even after adding in a generous tip for our order still couldn't make change. Luckily I had a visitor here that happened to have what I lacked to make the bill. I opened the pizza for the kids who were anxiously awaiting there dinner to find the pizza had been folded over. I know its from the steep hills in the area and it would take a lot more then this for them to deny the food so I said wth and served it up. I went to open the cheesesteaks for me and my wife and saw that they were obviously not what I ordered. I checked them both to find them a mess. I mean anything with brown lettuce just doesn't seem appealing exspecially when ya didn't include lettuce anywhere in the order. I was specific to exactly what I wanted on the steak. My wifes was easier just meat and cheese nothing else but meat and cheese.



I was frustrated at this point so I called them to let them know there was a mistake. I told them that theese were a mess and not what I ordered. I was told this is what I ordered and thats that. I never knew a place of buisness would act like that and after hearing me being argues with my wife asked to speak with the person on the line. My wife then pointed out she was next to me when I ordered and this was not what I ordered. I was met with a "you paid for it already you eat it mentality". I mean this person told me they were not going to waste product so they werent gonna remake the steaks, and basically we were gonna have to "eat" the loss. My wife asked the name of who she was speaking to so she could mention to the owner what went on and the attitude we got when trying to rectify the situation, she was hung up on.



I then calmed my wife down and proceeded to call the establishment back. I let them know who I was and wanted to speak with someone in charge. Iasked to at least get my money back so I could go get dinner elsewhere. I was then told if I didnt touch the steaks, I could bring them back and get my money back. Im thinking to myself, what kinda buissness desicion is this? They offered my money back, but wouldnt remake the steak because they didnt want to waste product? I agreed to the terms and drove to the establishment and returned the steaks got my money back for the cheesesteaks. The owner apologized and said "I hope you give us a second chance". I am thinking now alls they had to do from the beginning is remake the steaks they could have kept the money and our buisness and all would have been well. They lost the money and a customer that spends money on a regular basis in the area on food. I mean the people at McDonalds would have remade the food and brought it out to the car with a smile if they had gotten the order messed up and we are talking about a couple dollar meal not a $30 dinner.



We took the money down the street to Brothers Pizza which has great food all the time and we found out that they deliver too so thats where I am going for delivery from now on. We actually got exactly what we wanted looking good for less money. Way to give buisness away. GO BROTHERS ON ALLEGHENY

My family likes to drive from Avis, PA to eat at Mamma Lucrezia's, and that's not because we don't have good Italian restaurants closer. All Mamma Lucrezia's food is good, but my favorite is a bowl of meatballs and a basket of garlic bread. The only thing we can't get there is a glass of Carlo Rossi's Vino Paisano.

I had been told about this place for months so when I checked it out, I was really impressed. The food was Wonderful! The staff was super friendly and the prices were moderate. This is one resturant that is well worth the short drive over to Bellefonte from State College and even Philipsburg. The best food I have had in some time.
