X-rays
Digital radiography is amazing. These x-rays images lower patient exposure to radiation by 90%. While there was not much radiation in dental x-rays, to begin with, lower is always better when it comes to radiation. Also, digital radiography means we can view and enlarge parts of the x-ray while you are still sitting in the chair. If we spot a problem area, we don’t have to wait to begin treatment. These x-rays are great for you and your mouth. Digital x-rays, which don’t require harmful chemicals to process, are also better for the environment.

Resin Composite
Tooth-colored dental fillings are made of a composite resin material that is matched to the color of your natural teeth. They are used to repair damage to the tooth structure and can restore the function and aesthetics of your smile following decay formation. Composite resin fillings are strong and durable and can last many years with proper care.
Veneers

Crowns

Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin is applied to a tooth to improve its appearance. This actually involves the same material used for tooth-colored fillings! Bonding can be used to repair cracked or chipped teeth, to close gaps between teeth, or to make minor alterations to the overall shape of teeth.

Root Canal Treatment
Jen had root canals and crowns on her two front teeth due to a childhood bicycle accident. She was also dissatisfied with how small her other teeth were in comparison. The initial plan was to proceed with crown lengthening and eight veneers. However, crown lengthening results with Bellevue periodontic specialist Dr. Michael Spektor were so spectacular, that only the two front teeth required updated crowns; additional veneers were no longer needed. “I no longer dread having my picture taken,” Jen said. “This sounds really small, but it isn’t.”

Practicing in Taiwan prior, Dr. Chen has years of clinical experience on major maxillofacial surgeries such as trauma (jawbone fracture), orthognathic surgery, and benign and malignant tumors of the oral cavity. At that time, she also served as an assistant professor at her alma mater, contributed extensively to oral cancer research, and received a PhD degree in clinical medicine.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University and the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She completed her advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio. This residency included certifications in Invisalign, IV sedation, and implant surgery.

The take-home kit includes everything you need to whiten your teeth at home, including a custom-fitted mouth tray and bleaching gel.
