Management and Owner of Palm Beach Gym Condone Harassment of Members by other Members

I had just sat down to use a machine, when a loud, abrasive, twitchy guy (I thought he was one of those drug rehab patients that wandered around this gym in the past) approaches me and tells me he was using this machine, and that he is doing supersets between several machines and free weights. I let him on the machine and walk away to do another body part, since there are dozens of machines here to use, and there is no reason to stand behind somebody and wait for one particular machine.
The sociopath stalks back and forth around me, loudly saying that he is now finished with the original machine, and he makes a cutthroat sign to me, which makes me further think that he is mentally unstable.
In the next 30 minutes, he continues to stalk around where I am working out, giving me odd looks and ranting and raving about gym etiquette. It seems he did not approve of my, and another member’s, sandals in the gym I guess the wingnut forgot he was a member of a public gym.
I approach John the manager, and fill him in on what is going on with the harassment and bullying from this db. Within a few minutes, the ranter approaches the manager and me, attempting to belittle my appearance etc with phrases usually muttered by a ten year old girl to another ten year old. The manager smirks and smiles through the harassment, and after 10 minutes of me telling him to do something, he phones the owner, who tells him to ask the loon to leave.
Long story short, the manager was weak and useless, and the lunatic was allowed to keep his membership, even after he bullied and harassed me…. in front of the manager!!! This type of behavior should not be condoned in a public (or private) gym, and the owner should have stepped in and done something when his manager copped out. I have never heard from the owner about this issue, though I was told he would contact me.
There are so many other gyms to choose from, nobody needs the poor management and lack of respect for its members that Palm Beach Gym offers. Join Lifetime Fitness if you have the cash (like me), and work out with other people that are in your net worth range. PB Gym is trash, and its members are the same. You get what you pay for, and for $20 a month at PB Gym, I should have known better! See you at Lifetime (but only if you have the cash)….LOL
