Qualifications for offering forensic engineering services as described elsewhere in the listing include: Ā· earning 2 engineering degrees, Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering, with degree work in physics, chemistry, mathematics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and normal psychology Ā· earning a Professional Engineers license P.E. by taking the National Council of Engineering Examiners' NCEE examination in Fundamentals of Engineering and the Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering sections of the NCEE examination in Principles and Practices of Engineering Ā· receiving designation as a Diplomate Forensic Engineer from the National Academy of Forensic Engineers Ā· over 40 years of engineering experience since receiving the Masters of Engineering degree Ā· the last 27 years of the practice of forensic engineering Ā· 15 years in engineering design of equipment, systems and facilities and construction assistance, before the start of the forensic practice Ā· 2 years in industrial operations before engineering design, with continuing intermittent industrial operations after the initial 2 years. Qualifications for accident investigation and reconstruction includes, in addition to the engineering education, earning Certificates of Successful Completion in 7 courses, over 8 weeks, in Northwestern University Traffic Institute's Traffic Accident Investigation and Reconstruction program, including: Ā· Technical Accident Investigation - 2 weeks Ā· Vehicle Dynamics -1 week Ā· Traffic Accident Reconstruction - 2 weeks Ā· Continued Case Studies in Traffic Accident Reconstruction - 1 week Ā· Computer-Assisted Traffic Accident Reconstruction - 1 week Ā· Motorcycle Accident Reconstruction - 2 days Ā· Vehicle Lamp Examination - collision damage interpretation - 3 days
