Ocean Early Childhood Center & Shore Summer Camp

My child went for full day child care and learned a lot this year. I was very happy with the quality of the education. The teachers have all been there a long time, 15+ years. There is a down side though in that the staff is too comfortable in their positions and have lost their sense of professionalism. For instance, I did not appreciate the cold greetings my child received in the morning. The teachers sat behind a big desk drinking coffee, eating breakfast, and often forgot to welcome the children coming in. Also, while the web site and litterature indicates they are open to 6:00, some of the staff get aggitated if you show up after 5:30. I also do not think it appropriate for the staff to bad mouth one parent to another parent or in front of the children. I do not think the owners would approve.
