I took my puppy Sir Lance A Lot here because he was throwing up and wouldn’t eat. They gave me a 9:00 am appointment, but didn’t see me until 10:45 or so. Mind you my dog was very sick. They finally get to me and took a stool sample only to tell me my dog didn’t have Parvo. Then 30 mins later they wanted to test him again, only to tell me my puppy did in fact have Parvo. They wanted to keep my puppy overnight that would’ve cost over $900, I can’t afford that. They then suggested IV fluids and all this medication to administer to my puppy when I get home. I spent over $300 only to have my puppy die the next day. I followed every instruction, administered everything to my puppy that I was given and he still died. I don’t understand they examined him, if they knew there wasn’t gonna be any chance of my puppy surviving, why make me do all that, spend all that money just to have to mourn my dog. That’s just ridiculous. It’s just not right to go through all that and have a vets assistant send me home with instructions, not the actual vet, only for my dog to die. I would’ve appreciated if I was told my dog did not have a chance of survival. I feel like I was sent home with a death sentence. I will never go here again. My puppy meant a lot to a lot of people and I feel like I was robbed.

While the front desk clerk isn't always the nicest when she is up to her neck in whiny & demanding clients/patients. I cannot say I would handle them any differently. She has always treated me & mine with absolute professionalism, especially when we are in crisis. Sadly, we have had plenty in our time of being Furkid parents. My parents & I have been at this Clinic since shortly after it's doors opened. The vets at Audubon are ALWAYS on top of their game, always. We began with Dr. Thompson, and have seen each vet at one time or another. Once I came across Dr. Linner, I knew she was the vet for me. She listens, understands, and her sense of humor, passion, compassion, and love of large breed dogs matches my own. She is former military which is even better, as it means we share more common ground. When she learned I was opening my nonprofit, K-9s to Furkids, Ltd, she was truly excited. That matters!
For some of the petty people to rate this clinic a one star because they resented how the front desk was curt. To me, that tells ALL!
Get a grip, manners means absolutely nothing when your beloved pet's life is on the line!
When it matters most, I want the BEST!
That is Audubon, hands down!!!

The bad reviews on this site are surprising to me. I have many animals and have been to this practice many times with various issues. The only bad thing I can say is the wait time can be long. However, this is the best vet I've been to as far as accurate diagnosis and treatment. Receptionists have always been very nice and dr. Loyd is a great vet.

I was sorry to read so many dissatisfied comments from others, my experience was quite different. If you want a straight up vet that tells you this is what's going on with your hunting dog and this is what it will cost to treat this is your place. If you want a staff that will play to your emotions and treat your animal like a person this is not your place. This is a WV vet not a Calf. friuit and nut place. I was at one of those places that told me "your dog needs an operation it will be 3 - 5K and the dog will never hunt again" translation we'll milk you dry and we hate hunters. Dr Thompson is a bontified bird dog guy who is involved in the protection and stewardship of the outdoors. He operated on my dog at a forth of what the other clinics wanted to charge and told me "that dog will hunt on three legs if he has to". The dog is able to use all four legs thanks to the treatment of He and Dr. Linner, I travel 2 hours to get to this vet.

Employees services & consideration isn't there . Pet shouldn't be treated that way. Discrimination by the employee

After waiting for over an hour, my cats appt was rushed, I came in for a hard lump on her stomach, and was told it was just swelling due to an allergic reaction, and to come back if it was still there for another appt in 2 weeks if it was still there. (Mind you I told her it had been there for about 1 and a half weeks). My cat was given a Depo shot and not even two days later my poor cat passed. The lady never gave me an option or told me anything about the steroid beforehand, otherwise after a quick Google search I would never of given it to my cat. Not only would I strongly recommend never having the Depo Medrol shot, but don't go here. My appt was rushed and if the vet would of taken the time to fully examine my cat, she could very well still be here today.
Please don't give this place your business.

I would not even give this place 1 star. I think this clinic needs to rethink their employees. Jackie at the front desk is not a pleasant person and has no compassion for sick animals. When someone is bringing their pet in and PAYING for your service they should be treated with the upmost respect, like you would want to be treated. Some people do not have kids and their animals are kids to them. If you do not like your job or animals, please do all your pet patients and pet owners a favor and move on. Thanks! I would not recommend this office to any person. Highly disappointed!!

8-28-15 7:10 am rudeness is an understatement for the woman answering the phone at this place
06/22/2015
I have been using them for two years. The woman vet is rude and pushes to do unnecessary treatments. Front desk will tell you one thing and then the vet a different. The care is good for my babies just staff can be rude.

The woman who answered the phone was rude. I didn't get past her to find out if the vets are any good or not.
