General Info
Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital opened its doors in 1993. Since that time our goal has been to offer you and your pet the best medical care possible. We also strive to educate you on pet nutrition, flea and tick control, dental care, behavior modification and more. We feel so strongly about your pets, that we offer prospective owners a complimentary consultation and scheduled tour of the hospital facility to further educate them on the responsibilities of pet ownership. At BVH, we try our best to emphasize owner participation in all aspects of a pet's care. We work hard to build your trust in us. We want you to know that your pet is receiving loving, quality care. After all, we're all pet owners too. We care about your pets as much as we care about our own. It is our pleasure to welcome you, your family and your special pet to BVH.

I have been going to BVH for over 10 years and I would not take my dogs anywhere else. The doctors and staff have been wonderful, taking care of my Goldens who have been rescued from puppy mills and have special needs.
During the last snow storm one of my Goldens was scheduled for surgery that day. Both Dr. Levinston and Danielle offered to come and pick her up so I would not have to drive.
They have a wide range of appointment times, even Sundays which makes it easy for me to find a convenient time to bring my dogs in. I receive lab test results promptly and if one of my dogs have to stay overnight in the hospital I get a call from the staff letting me know how my dog is doing.
Over the years I have had health crises with my goldens and Dr. Levinston or Dr. Arbach have called me long after the office has closed to see how they are doing.
I like the convenience of being able to get whatever meds my dogs need from BVH and if one of my dogs need special meds, they call it in to my pharmacy. When I call the office to refill meds my dogs are on they give me a call back as soon as it is ready so I could pick it up.
The front desk support staff are so compassionate and caring. They greet you and your pet by name and make sure all of your needs as well as your pets needs are met. All of the doctors take time with my dogs at their appointments and I never feel rushed. They always answer all of my questions and make sure I understand the course of treatment I have chosen for my dog. I would highly recommend BWV.

I went to this vet for several years. The vets themselves aren't bad. But they have problems with refilling prescriptions. They seem to want you to buy your pet's meds from them, but the markup is horrific ($67 vs $12 from Walgreens). But they want dr. authorization for every other refill, and they do not respond when the pharmacy calls. YOU have to call the office, wait for a doctor to get around to OK it, which is usually that evening at closing times. They don't usually call the pharm themselves - you have to tell Walgreens to call them AGAIN! I have 3 pets on 3 kinds of meds, and I have to jump through these hoops 3x a month. But I'm not doing it anymore, we're switching all our pets to Somerset Vet Group. Not worth the hassle. Their prices are very high as well.
