To be fair, I will start with saying I was pleased with Dr. Grimm's work, especially for a Medicaid Dentist(Only for Children).
My frustration began with the highly rude office staff. I overheard a phone conversation the receptionist, I gathered the patient was calling to reschedule, and the receptionist was telling her that she was not rescheduling again(After an assumed excessive amount of reschedules). It was spoken rudely, as often is the case with this office. I only bring this up, as I know that we are not the only patients treated this way.
We drove an hour before our move, and an hour and a half after our move, for this office, with a Van nearing 200,000 miles, 3 kids, one being autistic and ADHD. It was a thoroughly frustrating experience, as appointments had to be booked weeks in advance(Emergency appointments, BTW), and for Medicaid patients, Only on Thursdays(No exceptions). There was no understanding if you were not right on time. There was one particular occasion where I RACED out of the Van, once in the driveway, as I was told we would not be seen if we were one minute late. Mind you, this particular time, our Van had broken down, so a Family friend who lives 40 minutes from me (A two hour drive total), was kind enough to help. And there was no consideration, no understanding. The woman at the front desk were downright rude. I have been to numerous dentist office's(Not to mention countless Doctor's, Allergist, Chiropractor, etc.), and NEVER have I been treated in such a way.
Most recently, we had an appointment today(Thursday, as always), for a tooth that had me in extreme pain(This appointment was a reschedule, as we were late to the previous appointment, and drove all the way to Brighton, only to have to reschedule). This was in fact the third reschedule. The second reschedule was, due to the fact that I called and left a message, saying that I wanted to make sure that if I came they would be able to treat(And only come if they were able to treat), and when we called later that Morning, they claimed I had left a message and canceled(Which I hadn't). When I told her I had not canceled, and clarified what I did say in the message, she said "She was not going to argue with me". Again, it is the way in which Dr. Grimm's staff says things. Not to mention there was not an argument to be had, all she had to do was listen to the message!
So, we drive an Hour and a Half, are Early(for this third reschedule), for an appointment, that was canceled without our knowledge. They have all three of our numbers. Not one call, not one voicemail.
They know we just drove an Hour and a half, and refuse to see me, for a tooth that has me in horrid pain. Needless to say we are never going back again.
I let her know I would be posting a review, after this experience, and she went on to threaten a Libel suit if I posted a negative online review.
I am in disbelief. Never before have I seen such an incredibly rude staff.
