Deep Tissue Massage
Craniosacral Massage
Dr. Lisa Provenza-Tabak is also certified as a Dynamic Body Balancing practitioner. Dynamic Body Balancing (DBB) is a form of craniosacral therapy and myofascial unwinding taught by Dr. Carol Phillips, a renowned Chiropractor, doula and author who specializes in the care of pregnant women, infants including newborns, and children. In addition, Dr. Lisa has training in SOT pediatric and adult cranial evaluation and adjusting having studied with Dr. Martin Rosen.
Neuromuscular Therapy
Massage therapy helps to address the soft tissue (muscular) component of many patient’s conditions. We offer therapeutic massage including deep tissue work and neuromuscular therapy to our patients including during pregnancy and to newborns, infants and children. Many patients find massage to be beneficial prior to an adjustment. With over two decades of combined experience, our licensed massage therapists have experience in addressing most musculoskeletal conditions including headaches, low back pain, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, carpal tunnel syndrome, lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and more. Holli has successfully work on newborns with torticollis, difficulty with the latch during breastfeeding, tongue ties, apraxia and more. You may not realize it, but the first chiropractic adjustment was given in 1895 to a gentleman named Harvey Lillard. He was deaf and he re-gained his hearing with that adjustment. How is that possible? Isn’t chiropractic just for neck and back pain?
Nutritional Consultation
Dr. Lisa has extensive post graduate training in nutrition including courses in immune, cardiovascular and brain health, neurodegenerative diseases, hormonal health including thyroid and adrenal glands, inflammation, digestion, sleep, aging, wellness, mold/CRIS, conception, pregnancy and more. She has been utilizing whole food and whole herb nutrition for over 15 years. She primarily uses Standard Process and MediHerb products and offers nutritional consultations involving an in-depth symptom survey, history and examination. Blood work, urine and salivary testing, and the Heart Sound Recorder may also be utilized as she works to support her patients in their journey towards better health naturally.
Subluxation
No, it’s not! Actually, chiropractic deals with the function of the nervous system which is contained within and protected by the skull and the spinal bones, called vertebrae. Chiropractors analyze the position of the vertebral column for a condition known as a subluxation, which is a vertebra out of position interfering with the function of the nervous system. Dr. Lisa is also well versed in whole food nutrition and provides nutritional care and counseling to her patients. She primarily utilizes Standard Process and Mediherb products. In 2009, she became certified in craniosacral therapy as a Dynamic Body Balancing (DBB) facilitator. She also utilizes Neuro Emotional Technique to help her patients heal. Patient education and therapeutic exercise are also provided.
