        Overall

        This was a delightful restraurant. The food was wonderful and as was the atmosphere and the staff. We met the owner and had a pleasant discussion of how he created this restaurant using the building that was formerly a school for the church immediately next door. Please stop by and give this restaurant a chance to enhance your visit to Carlinville, IL. I think you will enjoy it as much as we did.

        Magnolias is located in a historic building and open for breakfast and lunch daily 8am - 2pm and also 5pm - 8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. Magnolias serves the best food in town, hearty breakfasts, variety of soups, healthy salads and sandwiches for lunch and in the evening serving steaks, tilapia, salmon, shrimp, chicken, pastas, some sandwiches and a large selection of wonderful desserts any time of the day.
