        I am a math tutor. I specialize as a tutor in Algebra and Geometry. I provide individual instruction at your home. I am an experienced teacher with 17 years in home tutoring experience in the North County, San Diego area in the subjects of Algebra and Geometry and have extensive experience with a wide variety of students, textbooks, teachers, and questions. I am extremely good with simple, clear and precise explanations. I listen, observe and ask questions, and do not take anything for granted. I know when and where students get stuck and have a lot of experience with simple techniques and explanations that eliminate confusion. I help kids feel confident to ask questions and not be afraid to make mistakes. We work together as a team. I really enjoy teaching these subjects and do my best to convey this enthusiasm to my students. My intention is to help your child regain self-confidence and self-esteem through successfully mastering math.

        Overall

        “It is an amazing thing to really understand something!”

        That is what my son, in high school, exclaimed after one of Mr. Cifarelli's recent tutoring sessions.



        I wouldn’t have guessed that my boy would ever be excited about math. But Mr. Cifarelli has a way of quietly explaining and directing him through new concepts and challenging problems, so that my son gains confidence and enthusiasm in this subject. We saw clear results last year, as my son’s geometry grades greatly improved after Mr. Cifarelli began tutoring him.



        Our family has enjoyed getting to know Darryl. He is creative, sincere, and thoughtful, and I highly recommend him as an excellent math tutor. He’s fantastic!
