In renewing a membership, a good friend of mine was deliberately misled into multiple additional fees, even after

inquiring a number of times specifically regarding any additional charges. Upon discovering these additional charges were occuring, there was inquiry made by this individual and was told that it would be taken care of. At the end of the month when fees adding up to greater than $500 were again noticed ( 2- monthly fees for one month, among others). LA Fitness was contacted again, and they responded by saying that the information this individual received during the renewal process was inaccurate, and although those charges should not have been incurred, they wouldn't do anything about it. In dicussing this with another LA Fitness employee the response was " they got you". I believe these tactics to be very dishonest and highly unethical. This individual was instructed to call the VP, and again was told that he would have taken personal responsibility, the response was that is what I am doing now. As of this moment this individual remains responsible for fees deceitfully gained, and this company will not accept responsibility. Be always aware of their pressure tactics as this individual was made to feel that the price would increase if a snap decision wasn't made at that moment. The BBB will be contacted by myself as well to be made aware of the activities of this company.
