Southeastern Asphalt Paving

My experience w Southeastern was and always is exceptionally pleasant. I, along with all of my family have done business with the Putney's for years and would highly recommend them. Laying ashalt in the hot summer looks treacherous, but these guys do it and do a great job.

I recently used these guys and would not recommend them to anyone. In fact, if I could have given 0 stars, I would have.
The company requires 50% payment upfront, while all other asphalt paving companies out there do not ask for anything until the job is done. That should have been my first clue to run away and not do business with them. But, they give you such a low price and the owner is such a smooth talker that you forget all common sense. Remember the old saying, "if it's too good to be true...it probably is"!!!
Once they have 50% of your money, they have you. They will start the work and do about 40% of it and then disappear. Call after call will be unreturned, or if you do get the owner, he will say they are coming tomorrow and then not show up. You really have to pester him to come back and finish the job and the job they do is mediocre at best and really not worth the hassle. Beware and for-warned if you intend to use this company.

In 2003 I had a 1200 ft driveway done by Steve Putney. The contract called for 2" of pavment. I was lucky if in places it was 1". At a cost of 9,800.00 this guy is a crook. Use someone other than Southeastern!
