        Beware!!! "Flat Pricing&q...

        Very high priced! My 85-year-old father trusted them to provide reasonable service, since he hired them to install the furnace only three years earlier. The service tech explained that the repair was complicated and would cost over $300 (the actual part was in supply and under warranty, so $300 was just for the service charge and labor). He performed the repair in less than an hour. I asked Dalton's for an explanation. Here are two quotes from the response:
        1. *Your parents understood the cost when they agreed to the service...When your parents order a dinner at a restaurant and eat the meal, I doubt you accuse the restaurant of overpricing, even if you think it's pricey.*
        2. *I make no apologies. I learned a long time ago that it's far better to offer a more expensive, quality service and explain our prices every once in a while than to skimp and live with a reputation for poor quality forever.*
        Anyway, hopefully the *quality* side will prove to be true, but know in advance that they are very (unapologetically) expensive.
