        James Parker has been tattooing since 1989 and piercing since 1992, and he has now opened Artistic Advantage, his own studio in Charleston. For more than ten years (1989-2000) James was a tattoo artist and manager at Body Art Tattoo in Marmet, WV. He started piercing in 1992 trained under 5th Avenue Piercing Co. He holds a certificate from training in airborne and bloodborne pathogens. James has trained three apprentices during his career so far, two as tattoo artists and one as both a tattoo artist and piercing technician. All have gone on to work professionally in the industry, one being a co-owner of his own studio. Appointments or Walk-Ins Welcome
