Pre-prosthetic Surgery
Oral health treatment. Sometimes, tooth extraction is a part of a larger dental treatment plan, such as braces, dental implants, or pre-prosthetic surgery. Since tooth loss is permanent, most doctors will only remove a healthy tooth if it is absolutely necessary.

Tooth Extractions

Ridge Augmentation
Ridge Augmentation. The alveolar ridge is the bone that supports the upper and lower arches of teeth. Ridge augmentation may be performed one area after a tooth extraction (socket preservation) or the entire ridge may require more height/width.
Bone Grafting
The bone grafting material may be sourced from a bank (donor bone), or your own bone may be used. Synthetic material is another option. Your oral surgeon will review your options, including your options for anesthesia, during your consultation appointment.

Orthodontics
After surgery, there is a recovery period, during which your care team may again use orthodontics to complete the alignment of your jaw. During this time, your doctor may give you instructions such as avoiding strenuous activity, limiting the consumption of solid foods, and taking medications to manage pain. The result, after 6-12 weeks of healing, is your brand-new smile.
Braces
Exposure and bonding is a treatment that involves skilled coordination between an oral surgeon and an orthodontist. First, an orthodontist will create a space for the impacted tooth to come in by preparing the mouth with braces. Once the space is ready, an oral surgeon will expose the tooth and bond an orthodontic bracket to it. The orthodontic bracket will have a small chain attached that the orthodontist will use to guide the tooth into place as it grows in.

General Dentistry
Dr. Dailey then attended U.C. Los Angeles School of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. At U.C. Los Angeles he was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship with the U.S Air Force. He subsequently completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Bolling/Andrews Air Force Base in D.C. He served an additional three years as a general dentist with the 92nd Medical Group at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA.
