Find another doctor - do not go here. After my husband's wrist surgery, the pain medication did not work and the nurses refused to listen to him and give him pain medication that would actually work. He spent weeks in unbearable pain. Then once they changed his cast it caused an infection with unbearable pain again and swelling through his arm and shoulder. We tried to follow instructions and go to after hours care when they refused to fit him in with a doctor. The after hours people refused to do anything to help and did not even take his temperature or offer an antibiotic. When we show up at the office when they open trying to be worked in, they are enormously rude and cannot believe we expect them to work us in for an emergency. This is how people die in people not doing their job and leaving infections untreated! Do not go here if you value your life!

I have nothing but praise and appreciation for the physicians who cared for me during my years of tremendous pain and suffering. It had gotten to the point where I couldn't even cover my body with a cover or sheet. Days and nights of
excruciating pain had plagued my weak body. Initially, I went to see Dr. A. Rhyne for severe back pain. He was a very
kind and soft spoken doctor. Immediately, I felt highly comfortable and receptive of his care. It didn't take long for me to realize I had found a great doctor and I was grateful for the service and care I received from him. Years later, after my back surgery, there was still a lot of pain. I had to have hip surgery. Dr. Rhyne recommended his colleague, Dr. Walter
Beaver. On my first visit, I knew I was at the right place. Dr. Beaver's nurse, Tamara, was the epitome of the kind of
nurse every doctor's office should have. I came in the office bent over in pain. When she came to get me, she smiled
genuinely, greeted me, and reminded me to take all the time I needed to take each step. Kindly, she took my hand and
her arm became my walking stick. She whispered softly, "Ms. Jordan, I know you're in a lot of pain, let me help you."
She didn't need any X-rays to tell her I was in severe pain. She used her heart! Next, she helped to escort me to a room to take an X-ray. The gentleman there was exactly that, GENTLE. He told me to take my time and to move when the pain would let me move. He asked me if I needed help to put my legs on the table. When I nodded, he proceeded to
lift them with a gentle understanding of my pain. I had to hold back the tears of appreciation. Gentleness and patience of this nature is truly found occassionally, not daily. At last, I finally got to meet Dr. Walter Beaver. I had already seen a picture of him. His picture reminded me of an older man of prominent statue. When I met him, his kind eyes greeted
me with special kindness. I felt like I was in the presence of a priest. He seemed completely sincere and attentive. I
had surgery on my hip and soon started to mend. After my hip got better, my neck pain got worse. Dr. Rhyne then recommended me to another colleague, Dr. Milam. He was a young physician with highly experienced characteristics. I
felt completey safe and ready to get my last surgery over with. Not only was he highly competent, but he was extremely
amiable with a handsome face to look at. What a sight for a sore eyes! When I hear people complaining about poor
healthcare, I always tell them about the world's best physicians God sent to help me at Ortho-Carolina in Charlotte, N.C.
