Jerry Harris Remodeling

These guys are awful. We contracted with them for a bathroom renovation. I should point out we have only one bathroom and Jerry said they could get it done quick so as to not impact us for very long. They were not the cheapest but seemed to have a good professional manner about them. We are presently 12weeks into a 4 week contract. We terminated the contract for non performance. We have a tempoary shower with PVC pipe and a dollar tree shower curtain. We have our original toilet installed temporarily so we could stop using the porta potty after 5 weeks. They rarely showed up on time and many days worked less than a few hours. Only after many complaints did they work long enough to install the tile portion of the shower and the new windows. The supt was nice at first, but when confronted with lack of progress became verbally abusive to myself on the phone and my wife in our home. When we requested a new supt, we were told ok, but they wanted to keep working the subs and we would have to follow them because they could not come out. When we requeste a refund at week 7, they stated they had never not finished a job and would finish this one. They agreed to do so at no further cost but at week 12 are still not done. The only thing Jerry Harris has done on time is bill my credit card and in fact processed several payments without written authorization for work that was not done. They did return that money when Channel 10 got involved. Only one of the workers was professional and concerned about doing a good job, so he will not stay long as that does not fit the Jerry Harris standard of work. This will be in court before it is all over.

These guys are great. I've worked with three general contracting companies during the past two years and this is the only company I have invited back to do more work. They have done small handyman repairs as well as larger jobs involving several thousand dollars. They might not be the rock bottom cheapest, but they do excellent work, show up when they say they will and follow up if an issue does arise. And, they're always nice to my kids!
