I've had Odisho extensions at 2 different salons, it's the only brand I tried so far. I stopped going to the first salon thinking it was their fault and went to Exsalonce. First experience there was fine. 2nd experience was absolutely terrible. i got my last extensions put in in mid November. i have very dry, thick hair. i use extensions for brighter, fresher blond and healthier lengths. i've been getting extensions since 2013. Everytime my stylist could not believe how long they lasted (6-8 months). The reason is that i use dry shampoo, wash my hair hardly every 3 weeks, take very good care of them and i have thick, dry hair. So i hardly start losing a strand or 2 after about 3-4 months.
What changed this time ? Upon my last apptmt, i called Jamie @ Exsalonce about 3 times asking when i could come in after my keratin treatment. i personally was worried but she asked Jessie and told me it would be perfectly ok if i came in 5-7 days after keratin. i double and triple checked and she said it's totally fine. i still had keratin treatment done 7 days ahead just to be on the safe side. That was the first time i had it done this close to the extension apptmt. But they DID SAY it's ok if it's 5-7 days. Now, mid january, i started losing about 1 strand every 48 hours, then 1 everyday. it's heartbreaking. I paid a huge amount of $. In fact, at Exsalonce they apply the keratin bonds flat, not in cylinders, supposedly so that they don't bother us when we lay down. Wrong. Everytime i touch my hair, the bonds feel like needles. Furthermore, i noticed from the falling strands that there is not much hair stuck in them. They're just slipping out. Is it the keratin treatment that they told me I could do ? Was it the actual extensions ??
So as u may have noticed, the one thing in common in all my extension experiences: they were all Odisho. I am v. upset about this, especially given the cost. I will not b using Odisho ext. anymore, both salons have proven that the hair quality is inconsistent.

I would give this no stars if I could! So a few months ago I got fusion extensions with this brand of hair. Everything was fine until about a week later I flat ironed the hair and t completely fried! The ends became so dry, some pieces turned red from being burnt and the ends had all of the small little white beads on them. I was using all of the expensive products - the sulfate free shampoo and conditioner that they gave me so clearly something was wrong. I contacted the company told the guy what was going on and he said he would reach This Tony guy and for me to also call him myself. In the meantime I went to a salon by my house to have the dead ends trimmed off and payed $50 for a repair treatment which didn't work, and paid another $45 for different kind of shampoo and conditioner. I also spent $30 on a flat iron spray. When I got ahold of Tony he had me come into his salon so he could see the hair. After going back an fourth for a pretty good amount of time - having him tell me that I needed to take some responsibility for this- uh no I've been flat ironing my hair since they came out when I was in high school I've also had extensions before this for the last year and never had a problem before - so after arguing he agreed to get them redone for me. So the girl that did them ( who is very nice this wasn't her fault at all she doesn't even work for this Tony guy ) redid my hair for me . I was also told to buy a new flat iron so I did - more $ because of this- and 3 weeks after the new hair IT HAPPEND AGAIN! And literally like 15 have came out! I would never recommend this hair to anyone it is obviously cheap and it's embarrassing to have spent money on product that clearly has no worth!!!!!!
Hi everyone, We would like to give an update that we did resolve this issue with Lindsay, regarding her extensions after flat ironing. As a wholesaler and distributor, we sell directly to hair stylists and while we post care instructions on our website, it is the sole responsibility of the stylist to inform the client on how to take care of her extensions properly. Many people assume that hair extensions can sustain more abuse than their natural hair, and that is simply not the case. Our hair is 100% Indian Temple hair that has been sanitized, bleached, and dyed twice. Use of a very hot flat iron on processed hair will cause damage. That does not make the hair cheap, and we are considered premium hair. If any YP users would like free hair care tips for extensions or personal guidance, please email us at contact@tonyodisho.com. We pride ourselves on our customer service and we hope we can serve you soon!
