Fantasy Game World

this post is to clear up some inaccurate information by the first post on this page by another reviewer. The man that runs this shop is not your "typical anti-social fantasy nerd ", he's just another person working at his job like everybody else. But i'm not here to talk about the person, i'm here to talk about the shop. Fantasy Game World is a great hobby shop, with better prices than other stores I've seen, and i'd like to clear some things up.

1: This shop is run in a professional manner from what I've seen, and i have been shopping here for 8 years.

2: The people that work here are knowledgeable and friendly, and i have never seen anyone get scarred out of this shop, unless they were stealing.

3:This shop has some of the lowest prices in town, and if you want a specific item, the owner can most likely order it for you.ex.: an item that would be $13.99 at Bat Comics is $11.19 at Fantasy Game World

4:The people that work at this shop are honest people, where as at the downtown stores, I've seen the people that work there selling cards that companies give them to give away at pre-release tournaments. i have been shopping at fantasy game world for 8 years, and i hardly ever shop anywhere else. The man that works there know what he's talking about, and if the shop can get an item on clearance, they pass the savings onto you. i don't shop at the downtown hobby shops, because i can get the items i need at fantasy game world for less.

In this economic climate no one can afford to be rude to potential customers. However, the owner of this shop can because his shop is located in his mom garage. I dont like to judge before I actually shop but for starters the shop never answers the phone, second he runs it like its his personal club house. The owner is the typical anti-social fantasy nerd who scares potential gamers away from gaming. Save your money folks, check out Bat comics in downtown chico or Chico Magic both very professional and friendly.
