General Info: The General Services Department of the city of Chula Vista ensures public and city employees' health, safety and quality of life by providing reliable and well-managed facilities and communications, infrastructure, resource and waste management, as well as animal care through professional services. The department comprises divisions, including operations and project management and infrastructure development. Its operations division offers services, such as construction and repair, custodial and facility management, internal communications and waste management. The division s animal care facility provides stray and nuisance animal pickup, acceptance of lost and relinquished animals, assistance for injured and stray animals, control of biter, vicious and threatening animals, lost and found assistance and dog licensing services. The department is supported by the administrative and fiscal services sections, and is located in Chula Vista, Calif.
