The Home Depot

I purchased a dryer in January from the Claremont Home Depot. I have since lost my purchase receipt. The dryer recently stopped functioning properly, but I need the receipt to qualify for the warranty. I called the Home Depot and Mary at the customer service desk was very helpful, and helped me track a receipt from five months ago. I am very thankful they keep better track of these things than I do!

In general I like Home Depot...but this location in Claremont has the largest collection of people that don't know the meaning of customer service! Case in point, last spring we had to reseal our driveway and went to the Home Depot to purchase it. We needed 5 5-gallon buckets worth. I asked one of the workers where it was and he pointed it out. It was not in a location that I could maneuver my cart to. He then proceeded to talk to one of his other co-workers about how he would be leaving in 20 minutes or so and couldn't wait to be out of there. Meanwhile, I'm hauling 5 40 lb buckets worth of driveway sealer to my cart. When I got home and opened up the buckets, the driveway sealer was NO GOOD! Apparently, they had left the driveway sealer outside over the winter where it froze, and then brought it inside and tried to sell it. They gave my husband a hard time when he tried to return it for a full credit. Aubochon's might be a bit more expensive...but at least their people are willing to help!!
