Kruse's Deer Lake Inn

Food is delicious. Best food in Clarkston, but... The televisions in the corners of ceiling are loud and annoying. Wish they'd remove them so people can eat and visit in peace.

Although we were seated in a section that was over half empty, the staff adamantly refused to put tables together to seat our party of 10 together. I found this very unhospitable. The staff person said "folks, that ain't happening". How very gracious!

Have been here twice already and will return. Usually very busy, but I've found it well worth the wait. Great food and very good service (we like Josh). He's been there since they opened and we always get great service.

Beware, didn't get a clear answer to what was going on but we were charged a different price on each entree, the menu had a lower price than what my finale bill showed. Lucky for me I caught it, my friend did not and is fighting them to get the charge corrected on his credit card. How many people did not catch this????

I feel the manager should have came to our table to explain what happened, didn't happen. The waitress was nice but not experienced or trained very well

I have no complaints about the food, just the service, I will stick to the downtown restaurant, my fav. BEWARE!!!

Probably will not go back. I had the shrimp and lobster fettuccini, which was good. Hubby ordered fish and chips, which was HORRIBLE! Fish was swimming in grease. Asked for extra napkins to mop up the grease. After mopping up as much grease as possible, broke into fish. Although it looked crispy, upon breaking into it, found it had not been cooked enough and batter was gooey/gummy inside. Still decided to eat it, however when taking a bite, it was horribly srong "fishy" tasty. Scraped the batter away and found it covered in the greyish/silvery membrane that hadn't been properly scraped off in the cleaning process. Manager noticed it wasn't eaten and asked if he didn't like the batter. Hubby said it wasn't cleaned properly. Manager didn't seem to understand what he meant. He only ate a couple of bites... waitress and manager both noted it wasn't eaten. I think it should have been taken off the bill, but they didn't do that. Doubt I will ever go back.

Great @ fast service. Too many tables for space. If you o you will have lunch with a lot of people whether you want to or not.

This is a great place to get a bar hamburger. They are terrific the fries are good too. I am not a drinker so I don't know about the bar.
