I went to see Dr. Stewart because I cut around my tooth accidently with a plaque picker. No matter what I did the cut did not heal. I had excruciating pain that would not go away. I went to see her to clean the cut and make the pain go away so it can heal. When I was there she did an antibiotic rinse around the tooth were the cut was. But then the hygienist went where my bottom right wisdom tooth was & made a deep cut inside the gum tissue that had already grown over the socket. Now, I was numb so I didn't feel anything. The big problem is she didn't tell me she was going to make a deep cut in that area. If she did I would have said no! She advised me as she was cleaning around my plaque picker cut that there are some food particles around the wisdom tooth area and she's just going to clean around the area. But that's not what she did. I only thought she numbed me to clean around the plaque picker cut. There was no communication at all regarding making a deep incision over my perfectly healed over gum tissue. I noticed she did a deep cut about two days later because the first day I came home the gum tissue was swollen like the size of a grape. After the swelling went down I noticed a huge cut over my gum tissue. I called and confirmed that it was very unethical to cut my gum tissue without giving me the choice & the woman was very mean and rude to me. I tried to ask why would she do such a thing. She advised that the hygienist only cleaned around the wisdom tooth area. She even had the nerve to say that I was trying to pull something. First of all it's my teeth and my gums so why would I try to pull something. I have good teeth and good gums. After seeing this dentist my gums have been swollen and irritated. White pus and discharge come out alot. I'm still trying to find the right specialist to laser the gum flap off and clean the area.
