Anything Automotive

this place is a complete joke. one of the owners is a tactless, ignorant, illiterate, piece of trash, that i have personally witnessed throwing out hateful remarks regarding someones infant, and pet. he's just a bad person in general. do not give them your business.

they know what they are doing. they wont "hook you up" or anything, prices are fair, very competitive. they wont rip you off either, like pretty much every mechanic in town does. its hard to find a mechanic that wont steal your money, but these guys wont. they didnt charge me $800 for an A/C coompressor like Ultimate Auto did.. and if they dont know how to fix your car, they wont charge you $80 anyway, like West Side Auto Pros do.

I took my car in for an oil change and asked for them to check the car over and recommend a tune-up package. I left with over $1,000 in quotes. I was fairly shocked so I took a look at my previous repairs and several of their quotes had been completed with another garage a few months earlier. I called to see why they quoted work that didn't need to be done and their response was they were giving the quotes for what was suggested for the mileage on my car. I'm not sure why they didn't check my car specifically for actually needed done.



Very poor excuse - it seems to me if I had approved all of the quotes they would have done work that didn't need to be done.



I went to Ultimate Automotive on Meredith in Urbandale and left with a bill under $200. I will not return to Anything Automotive, they may have a pretty good reputation but it only takes once to lose my trust and business.

My wife and I took our 2002 Suburban to Anything Automotive on the recommendation of a friend of ours who was raving about how great they were. We had taken the truck to several other shops including Firestone and the Dealer to try and fix a noise that we were hearing like a distant howl, it was driving my wife nuts and no one had been able to find it despite having several days at both shops to look for the problem, so I figured that Anything Automotive wouldn't be able to do any better. I WAS WRONG! These guys really are the best in town!! They not only found the problem, but they found it within three hours not three days. They gave me a very reasonable price to repair the rear end bearings (I know cause I checked around) and they had the vehicle fixed the next day after I told them to fix it. We went and picked up the truck and we were greeted with a smile and a free soda, they even had a juice box for both my kids! It was like going to a friends house and getting my car fixed. The Suburban is fixed and quiet and we are thrilled. I really can't say enough good things about Mark and Jason--we even dropped off the tahoe for them to repair it when we picked up the Suburban. I've found my auto repair shop for life!!!

My brakes went out a few weeks ago and a friend of mine said to try these guys out . I went monday and meet jason and mark , droped off my car . they called me within the hour and said about 110 +tax .and said they could do it within a hour .i really needed my car back ! sure enought .on time , the right price they gave me on the phone and jason even fix my door for free .these two guy are one hell of good team.im sold for life . brian wilson.
