Teeth Cleaning
Dental Sealants
After becoming a dental assistant in 2004, I worked for a couple years before I met Dr. Folatko. In 2009, Dr. Folatko sent me to Case Western Reserve to complete the Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) program. I was trained to place metallic and non-metallic (composite) restorations and sealants. After completing the program and a one month clinical at St. Elizabeth’s dental clinic in Youngstown, Ohio, I took my board exam and got married one month later! I currently live in Uniontown and enjoy spending time with my husband Logan, who happens to be my high school sweetheart, my little boys Chase and Carter.

Crowns
During a crown procedure, your dentist prepares the tooth and makes a molded impression to send to a dental lab. A temporary crown is created during your visit to protect the tooth while your permanent crown is being fabricated. This process usually takes 2 weeks, then you return to have your permanent crown cemented.
Bridges

Root Canal Treatment
A crown may be used to protect a cracked tooth, or to restore functionality to a tooth with excessive decay, a root canal, or a pre-existing crown.

Deep Cleaning
For patients who have periodontal disease and have completed a “deep cleaning”; periodontal maintenance is recommended every 3 months. These visits allow us to remove the bacteria that contributes to the periodontal condition. Each appointment is an evaluation of your oral condition and a thorough cleaning. These visits are imperative to your oral health and prevent the progression of periodontal disease.

Dentures
When you are missing one or more teeth, you may notice a difference in chewing and/or speaking. A dental implant may be an option for you. Dental implants are stronger and more durable than their restorative counterparts. Implants can be used to support a bridge for the replacement of multiple teeth, and can be used with dentures to increase stability and decrease gum irritation. Surgically placed below the gums, implants fuse to the jawbone and serve as a base for individual replacement teeth, bridges or dentures.
