Galleria Dallas

If I could give this place a negative review I would!!!

My wife, my 2 young kids and I were in Dallas for a work conference and we were in the Galleria mall. There's a ice skating rink inside and my 2 kids, 3 and 6 years old, wanted to go ice skating. Neither of them have ever been on ice skates so of course they needed some help. My wife is disabled and in a wheelchair and took my kids out in the ice. She has been on plenty of ice rinks in the past with no issues. After about 15 minutes of her being on the ice 2 members of their staff came out and told her she had to leave. She was helping our littles ones get their bearings and hadn't done anything wrong. They had a million excuses of why she couldn't be out there. No signs. No policies posted or in writing anywhere about not being able to go out there. It was huge embarrassment for my wife. The more they gave excuses, the more they changed and elaborate they became. The last one and best one is if she was in a manual wheelchair it would be ok. For their information, a manual wheel chair is way less stable than a power chair. Never have I seen such discrimination against a disabled person! In the end they offered a refund but it doesn't make up for their behavior, attitude and lack of respect that they showed my wife. Needless to say, this will not end with a bad review.
