Ashby was VERY knowledgeable and patient with my father. He is stubborn and can be awnry, their staff was incredibly compassionate and made the difficult situation pleasurable. He ended up not wanting to be discharged when his doctor felt he was good enough to end home health. And asked about his nursing staff for several weeks after. I wanted to make sure to leave a review for them because I know some sad people go out of their way to leave negative reviews and exaggerate the experience, and rarely do people make time to say how AMAZING a group is. These guys and gals were AMAZING to our father.
They don't have an actual facility but I did meet with the staff in their office and it was clean, professional and the office staff was very helpful we ended up talking for 30 minutes about dad and some of the memories of him. Very dedicated staff, that love working for the company.
I never did meet the owner in person, but I did get a call when I requested he even has business cards in the lobby with his personal contact info on them. The story on their website about his grandfather is very heartwarming and we did feel like our dad was treated like family. We have the magnet board they put on dads fridge and we will call them again when he needs more nursing or therapy. Thanks Janette and Ashby team

Ashby Home Health was a huge disappointment! The worst home health experience we have ever been involved with. Many at the top were very unprofessional. A number of times we needed to speak with the owner but found he is very rarely in the office. Many of the nurses would complain about the way they are treated. I would not recommend Ashby Home Heath to anyone.

Ashby Home Health was a disappointment to us. They were recommended by our physician to do an assessment on my elderly mother who lives in an independent living senior center. They were to assess her ability to live independently vs assisted. There was no contact between AHH and the senior center nurse. The senior center nurse told me they should have met with them weekly, but the AHH nurse never attended a meeting. I was advised by the senior facility that they should have been updating me regularly on their visits and assessments. This being my first experience with elderly Home Health I did not know this. I contacted them about half way through the assessment to get an update and was told the nurses would be in touch with me. There were three care givers, a psychiatric nurse, a regular RN (who I later learned was also the patient coordinator) and a physical therapist. Only the physical therapist returned my call and provided any information. I did not push for more info as I assumed that I would probably have to wait until the end of the 9 week assessment for a report.
At the end of treatment I phoned to get a report. They had the RN call me. I asked for a copy of the report and he told me it was only a "generic" report. I did not understand this, since it was a patient in home assessment, I expected more than a generic report. I asked about the psychiatric evaluation and the nurse told me he did not know if the psychiatric nurse had ever come. I called the office and asked to speak with the owner or director or whomever was in charge of the office and the operations.
I expressed my frustration with the lack of information and the "generic" report I was going to get. I wanted to know if the psychiatric nurse had ever made a visit and who the patient coordinator was and found out that the RN I had been speaking with was the Patient Coordinator!!! I asked for a full and complete copy of the report with every note and every documentation and a list of every visit made.
They told me they would fax it to my doctor's office. That fax never went through (according to them) So I finally had them email the 100 page "generic" report to me. This was done and I had an RN who is a relative of mine read it. She was not pleased with the lack of documentation or follow up carried out by Ashby. I have condensed my review to keep it readable. I do not recommend this home health agency.

Ashby Home Health took great care of my Grandma. Her nurse and bath aide became like a part of her family and she spoke about them like they where. She had to be discharged because she was doing to well but the staff have stayed in contact with her proving that it isnt just a job for them its a passion.
