General Info

Operational since 1993, the Alameda County Fire Department provides fire suppression, prevention and emergency medical services to protect residents, properties and environment. It operates more than 15 fire stations and a fleet of fire engines, boats, dozers and water tenders. The department also specializes in arson investigation, hazardous materials mitigation, and urban search and rescue services. The Alameda County Fire Department delivers a firefighter education training program for the professional development of various candidates. It offers information, resources and fire safety programs for citizens, businesses and community groups. In addition, the Alameda County Fire Department provides rescue services following disasters, such as gasoline and other flammable liquid spills and natural gas leaks.
