My family retained the services of Ms. Koester during a very difficult time in which a family member was wrongly arrested and placed in jail. Ms. Koester was the only attorney to answer her phone immediately on a Saturday. Upon our initial conversation, I was immediately put at ease by her demeanor. She was sympathetic and personable while maintaining a high level of professionalism. She immediately went to work and began to investigate our situation. She went above and beyond any attorney I have ever worked with in the past. She maintained close contact with me and gave me regular updates. Despite most of the judges being out of town during that particular weekend, Ms. Koester remained determined and persistent. Her perseverance led to the release of our family member on a Sunday. Before our family member was granted release, Ms. Koester personally went to the jail and checked on the care and status of our family member. As a note, two other attorneys returned my phone calls later that day. Neither attorney ever mentioned the possibility of our family member having the potential of being released during the weekend. Both attorneys told me that we would have to wait until Monday.
