Ross Westside of El Paso -Bad customer service

Ross Dept. Store at Sunland in El Paso, Texas has terrible customer service. I shop at many stores and do extensive online shopping as well. There must have been at least 8 clerks in the store that I saw, but only 2 were at the checkout for an extremely long line of customers. For one purchase, I was in line for over 30 minutes for something that should have taken 5 minutes to complete. If the employees at Ross continue at this pace, they will guarantee that they will not have jobs. Based upon bad reviews I've seen at Ross Stores in other locations, they will see the stores go out of business. Why should we shop at stores that treat customers badly when there are other stores that make sure the customers speed through checkout.

Perhaps the other clerks in the store that were running errands while the customers stood in line might consider other lines of work or unemployment.

My wife and I went shopping at your store on Sunland St. in El Paso,Tx on Good Friday. The system you have to pay is crazy. There are 8 cashier stations and only 4 were working it and that is because an extra cashier was added about 1 hr. before it closed. My wife and I waited for 30 minutes to pay for our purchase. If it had been up to me I would had left our cart in line and left your store and go somewhere else. I commented to your cashier about what a bad system there was there and her reply was "Actually it is pretty good" as my retort after that was "Not when you have to wait 30 minutes and you have 8 cashier stations and only 4 are working." The cashiers would take for what I guess was a break to hang the hangers on the racks and put away the sensors in a box. The mgr. was helping in a way but I think the time and worker best used would had been having someone hanging the hangers, putting away the sensors and whatever else that was needed to not have the cashiers leave their stations doing these jobs and moving the line even faster. The line was almost to the end of the aisle toward the back with alot of them complaining how slow it was. We love shopping at Ross but we do not like waiting in line for 30 minutes. Marshalls is very close to the Sunland store and it would not bother me to get in the car and drive a short one to Marshalls. I hope you can figure out a better system then the current one you have. Please on Easter weekend you are understaffed?
