Elgin Veterinary Hospital

This is hands down the best place to take your animals. We have used other vets in the past and Dr. Hoppmann and her friendly and knowledgeable staff are the best, no comparisons. I absolutely love and trust them with our animals because they treat them as if they were their own babies!!

we drive almost an hour just to see Dr. Hoppmann because she is worth the drive. Could not be happier. Our fur babies love her.

Dr. Hoppman took care of our bunny, Harmony, for eight years. Bunnies are very fragile and under her care, Harmony lived a happy and healthy life. When she got sick, Dr. Hoppman was kind and knowledgable and the bunny came back from severe illnesses four times. When her end time came, Dr. Hoppman treated Harmony as a member of her family, expressing sorrow and strength that I wish all medical professionals would have. Highly recommended for rabbit care!!

so i recently took my dog to another vet to see if their laser therapy might help his hind leg nerve symptoms. that vet...who i wont name....barely touched my dog, the only thing he did was flip one foot over, looked at his xrays from evh, and proceeded to diagnose him with degenerative myelopathy (he would be completely paralyzed and have to be put down within 6 months, nothing we could do about it). and wanted to start him on a bunch of meds. i was beside myself! soooo....on our follow up visit to dr hoppmann, she performed a full exam, head to toe....and determined it is simply some nerves being pinched in his lower back!!!!!! she is one of the most thorough vets i have ever met, and i truly trust her 100% with all of our animals! love this place!!!!

So I started going here because my mom has been going here with her pets for a while now. I now have my own dogs and only would trust emily as their doctor. Not only is she a wonderful doctor she's a wonderful friend. I really feel like family when I need to go to the vet for whatever reason.

We love Dr Hoppman, her knowledge and state of the art diagnostics are top notch. She is the most compassionate DVM I have encountered in many years. When it came time for our beloved Comet to make his journey to Rainbow Bridge she met us late at night at the hospital and made his journey quiet for him. She sat there on the floor with us crying. We just love her.

the best vet experience i have ever had. they genuinely love the pet! when you call them with questions, they are POLITE and don't act like you are bothering them, as i had experienced with the last vet i went to. Elgin Veterinary Hospital is absolutely the best. If you live in NE Columbia, it is worth the drive to come to our little town of Elgin to this Vet! Awesome people and comfortable atmosphere!

I've never had a bad experience at Elgin Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Hoppmann is fantastic, very knowledgable, and sincerely cares for you and your animals. I have always felt welcomed there, and know that no question or problem is too trivial for her and her staff. I've always received the best care for my dog and two cats from Dr. Hoppmann. It is also extremely affordable, which I really appreciate. They truly treat everyone like family, and I know my animals get the best care there.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Dr. Hoppmann really knows her stuff, and treats all of her clients as family. Even if it is a bit of a drive for you it's most definitely worth it!!

Elgin Veterinary Hospital is a little bit of a drive for me but totally worth it! I love this place and so do all my pets. I have never had such a good experience.
