After owner Ike Starkman opened its flagship location in 1978 in Studio City, Calif., Jerry's began to establish a reputation as the quintessential delicatessen. The company s services include everything from the menu that features more than 600 traditional deli and dining favorites to the delivery and catering services. Capitalizing on its prominent location near major television and film studios, the original Jerry's developed a customer base of residents and local employees, in addition to being popular with tourists. Since its establishment, Jerry's has opened nearly 10 stores throughout Southern California and South Florida. Headquartered in Studio City, Jerry s Famous Deli is a privately owned company that employs nearly 1,500 people.
